Artist Paint Tube Countertop Display

Known for our attractive, yet durable, POP display products, Bull Display was contracted by a consumer retail industry client to manufacture a series of free-standing countertop displays designed to hold tubes of acryilic paint for artists. The customer came to us when faced with ongoing problems involving their original display that was designed and manufactured by another display company. Constructed from 100% acrylic material, the original displays were very attractive, but lacked strength and durability, and would often be damaged during transit to the end user or while in use at retail locations. Retailers were constantly requesting replacement parts, or sometimes entirely new displays, costing our client valuable time and money.

Our customer requested that we redesign this display without compromising its original high-end look. Working closely with our client, Bull Display decided to incorporate a metal frame and metal shelves into the new design for added durability. Meeting tight tolerances down to (±) .0156 of an inch, we sheared each shelf from sturdy, cold rolled steel material and then blanked the shelf parts and the upright shelf support frame with one of our CNC turret presses.We then spot welded shelf brackets to each shelf and shear notched and formed the prefinished metal header. All parts (except the prefinished header) were then painted with an attractive yet hard wearing powder coated finish.

In order to keep our client’s high-end, acrylic look, we laser cut green edge acrylic side panels similar to those that were part of the original design. These side panels were modified to allow simple assembly by the end user with no tools required. The new display design, which measured 16 x 12 x 38 inches, can be easily adjusted to hang or hold other types of products. After manufacturing was complete, we then assembled and packed the units, readying them for shipment to our client’s various nationwide retail locations.

Designed and manufactured by Bull Display Products to meet our customer’s unique merchandizing requirements, we produced a rich looking, compact, and sturdy consumer retail display. By integrating an attractive powder coated metal frame and metal shelves into the design and incorporating the same acrylic side panels, we were able to virtually eliminate all freight damage and durability issues, while maintaining the attractiveness of the original display.
